Restoration Solution Using Laser Cladding
Phuong Dong uses Laser Cladding technology to restore worn areas on hydropower turbine cover seal rings.
The cladding material is selected based on the base material and actual operating conditions of the component. The laser creates a localized molten pool, allowing the deposited material to form a metallurgical bond with the substrate while minimizing heat input and thermal deformation compared with conventional welding repair methods.
Restoration Process
The restoration process includes:
Inspection → Surface cleaning and preparation → Laser Cladding → Machining to final dimensions → Quality inspection.
After cladding, the component is machined to the required dimensions and tolerances according to technical specifications.
